Kathryn Fayle, MA, LPC, NCC, CSAT

Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas | Trauma, Affairs & Couples Therapy

Hi, I’m Kathryn.
If you’re here, there is a good chance you are carrying something heavy. It may be relationship pain, emotional exhaustion, an affair or infidelity, anxiety, or a deep sense of disconnection. You might feel stuck, unsure how to move forward, or worn down from explaining your story only to feel misunderstood.

Before anything else, I want you to know this. You do not have to do this alone.

A Therapist Who Prioritizes Safety, Attachment, and Real Healing

Many of the individuals and couples I work with have tried therapy before. Often, they tell me they gained insight or learned coping skills but never quite felt safe, deeply understood, or emotionally supported in the ways they needed.

Healing after trauma, an affair, or relational rupture requires more than surface level tools. It requires emotional safety, attunement, and trust. That is the foundation of my work.

Why I Do This Work

My path into counseling was shaped by a deep curiosity about relationships. Early experiences, attachment wounds, trauma, and unmet emotional needs shape how we connect, cope, and protect ourselves.

I do not believe people are broken.
I believe people are responding to pain in the best ways they know how.

Whether you are healing from betrayal, navigating the aftermath of an affair, or struggling to feel emotionally close again, therapy offers a place to slow down and understand what is happening beneath the surface.

How I Approach Therapy

Rather than focusing only on symptoms or behaviors, we explore what is underneath them. This includes emotions, attachment needs, and protective strategies that shape reactions and relationship patterns.

Together, therapy may involve learning how to:

  • Feel safer and more regulated in your body and emotions

  • Understand attachment patterns and relational triggers

  • Reduce overwhelm, shutdown, or emotional reactivity

  • Rebuild trust and emotional connection after affairs or infidelity

I work at a pace that respects your nervous system while still supporting meaningful and lasting change.
